The forward trajectory of Vijayakumar .......
This tall young Scientist with an innocent smile flies away from SPL to take up an assignment in Italy as a visiting Scientist.
Dr.Vijayakumar Nair, a popular figure in SPL was given a befitting send off by
the SPL family on 25-Oct-2010.
The quality of his research and his dedication for fulfilling his PhD dream were widely appreciated by the gathering.
Whether experimenting or theoretical modelling/ studies on Aerosols, he did his best and never compromised on the quality.
His admits that his inquisitiveness, talent and willpower gathered momentum during the course of his tenure at SPL.
He has been a part of the ISRO's prestigious GBP - ARFI and conducted experiments in Sea, Air and Land.
His guide and present director Dr.K.Krishnamoorthy considers him to be a role model for other young researchers and scientists.
Friends feels his absence in SPL would be strongly felt.
He was bestowed with the INSA young Associateship even before the award of his P.hD.
It is a fact that his findings, analysis and inference on Aerosols and its effects has been globally accepted and recognised.
His encouraging words to juniors as well as student community is worth mentioning.
I wish him "more accomplishments in his professional and personal life"
This 'gem of SPL' undoubtedly will sparkle as a 'diamond of the World'.
